@BenA Cool!
@Valkyrie_D Why wait? Jump in.
@redenigma No, because they are convinced it was always there and anyone who says otherwise is lying.
Was looking at trilobite species to find one to sketch in pillbug colors and I ran across a video of Sir Attenborough describing how their eyes give clues to their environment, leading me to find a whole free documentary about early life on our planet. So I get to sketch them while watching this. I call this kind f thing a party.
@LlamaMountainStudioArts In times like those I often turn to Leverage. It warms my heart to watch them going after bastards, and it's funny to take the edge off of things.
In case anyone requires this

And if you can, donations are sorely needed!
I have always wanted to sketch my stones, but have been way too intimidated by the number of textures they have. I've been at this a couple of days, but I'm starting to feel like I'm figuring a few things out. The trilobite is going to feel like cheating after trying to portray white crystals. Thankfully I have many stones to study, and no deadline to get it right.
@raspberrypanda In my youth, I took the squeaker out of a dog toy and put it in my bra, where it waited until there was a boring conversation. I would nod, smile, appear to actively be listening, and randomly give myself a little squeeze. When they stopped in shock, I would walk away.
@Jeber Last night as I stared at my drawing I'm "working on", I thought about how slow I am because I'm always afraid my next attempts will mess everything up, so I'm horribly slow and procrastination is like, woven in to the actual activity. I get up and fidget a LOT. So I thought, what if I get an only fans thing of "watch an artist procrastinate", then I could procrastinate professionally :). I'll set it up tomorrow.
Nature, science, and art are super cool. Terribly sorry for the stuff that doesn't fit.
She/they cishet.
