Maybe I can convince him to start the trip by heading to Texas, I can visit the hotel that inspired "Ghost of a Texas Lady's Man".

IMO Anybody driving anywhere in the US and looking for weird and wonderful attractions should check out this site. It's amazing.

Planning a family trip, trying to find a haunted hotel to stay at in the New Mexico/Arizona/California area. Also seeking other similar cool adventures along that path. Joe mentioned he knows where the half buried cars are, that sounds fun. Any ideas?

@Bix Looks like the crowd is small though. I remember him manipulating the seating to make it seem like more people were turning up at his events than they were, seems like he's just trying to do the same thing.

@SupplySgt @cassandra17lina @Roddio I knew a guy in the 90s, in a wheelchair because he had it as a kid. He hung out at an arcade and often let all the kids know how important vaccines were.

@tgraph52 In the late 90s my roomate got a mad crush on a dude in her Photoshop class because his goal in life was to work for WWN.

@Bix She doesn't think carrying a rapists child to term is a tragedy?

I don't have a cat, so here is a dogwood blossom for not-quite-Caturday.
(Yeah, I don't have a dog either.)

@peeppeepcircus I suppose unless you know me, you might not realize this is a poem celebrating them, as I'm on the side of nature restoring the balance and bringing life back to soil that has had the life burned out of it. You'd have to hear my cackle of delight echoing behind the putrid waves of smoke to realize this, probably.

@peeppeepcircus A poem I wrote, from a blog post celebrating dandelions.

Suburban Sunshine

Across the lawn, a man of gold did flow
His grace spoke soft, his strength gave truth
He sang his hope, his pride of glories grown.
But lo, behold, the putrid waves of smoke
Tendrils of bitter lion’s teeth entwined
He fell to monsters beneath soft blue grass
His cries lost to the raw eldritch madness
Into the soft embrace of well-fed soil.

@Indefinite_Article It doesn't offend me, but it offends so many people that I try to use y'all instead. It's easy enough even if it is acceptable by many. I prefer to lean into adapting with society than trying to enforce what doesn't offend me.

"But how will we make disciples of them if we don't sell them on Jesus?" I hear you cry.

People forget what you say and do, but they never forget how you make them feel. Do you make them FEEL loved?
