: I am going on an it's-probably-not-a-date tomorrow. It's going to the bookstore and to get some noms with a woman I've been talking with (socially) for a few weeks. We find one another interesting is all I can say. Anyway, I'm quite chuffed, mostly because I don't really get out much.

: New mattress is unpacked and is going to decompress/inflate(?) for the next 72 hours.

It's my second bed. I got a new, shorter bed frame for it. I don't always want to sleep in my bedroom. So there'll be a spare on the other side of the house, just in case I want to sleep there or on the unlikely AF chance I have company.

@corlin: Nearly everyone I knew on social media, particularly the "hustlers", both men and women, who used to brag early on about how much money they were making in their fairly meager investments got quiet after about two years. They stopped posting their very prominently heralded weekly gains. Most dropped the hustler stuff in a few years, made new accounts, and stopped going on about "moneymakin'" and "hustle" daily.

@jordicusmaximus: Much of it wants him to leave in a bag. I'll settle for his leaving on a stretcher and with brain and maxillofacial and orbital disfigurement.

@okika_hilo: They almost always have the same one of a short catalogue of looks to them.

@corlin: I called it yeas ago, as did many others. It was glaringly obvious to anyone not so desperate to be open-minded that their brains had fallen out or anyone not secretly greedy enough to want to cast aside concerns about it just in case they could make some money off of it later. (That's what Greenspan & Co. did in re: mortgage-backed securities in the 1990s, which caused the 2008 Collapse (that had been called for 2004 but was stalled by Fed and congressional cowardice and bank fraud.)

@FreedomATX: Depends on whether there'll be a winner or not. I fear the fix is in somehow for it to either be a draw or for Tyson to lose somehow.

Mayweather said after their fight that if he'd've actually opened up, taken it seriously, he'd've murdered Paul in Round 1. By rights, unless Paul just runs around the ring, Tyson mauls him to death within the first... or at most half through the second.

@ecksmc: Ah, yes. Across the bay they call it "throwing shapes".

: I hate this about horror movies. It's a primary reason my stuff doesn't get picked by film banks to produce. They invariably tell me, "It needs a family angle, and it needs a Strong Female Character to be Final Girl or Heroine and a Flawed Boyfriend/Husband who needs to rise to the occasion and be rescued emotionally." I refuse flatly, every time.

@EdgeOErin: ..."socially liberal" part because they often meant "legalize weed" and "let me not have to wear motorcycle helmets". I know Not-All, but it's been more than enough.

@EdgeOErin: I don't think it's challenging tin that respect. In the '80s and '90s, even into the '00s, when people said "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" they were believed, but even then it was apparent that the bulk of them were lying. Fiscal conservatism usually means "I want to cut social and other programs, such as education and public health", i.e., remove social safety nets and "leave it to the states". Since the Obama Administration most of those same folks have ditched the...

@th3j35t3r @JolieSaboteuse: I hope I'm wrong, but I still smell fish about this fight.

Mayweather let him go the distance in their fight, and I feel certain that was staged AF.

Paul's entire product is not losing. That's why there was no winner for the Mayweather fight, that it was "for bragging rights". It was a glaring money-grab, as boxing is and has been since the '90s at least.

I worry about this one, because I want Paul to get a TBI and be retired from eating without assistance.

@EdgeOErin: A person couldn't do that without great difficulty in the 1990s. It's even harder now.

@CoSoTips: I'm a big fan of the "Delete & Redraft" option and have used it quite often.

@process: Eventually they'll notice and smack their foreheads, but by that time it'll be too late to do much, and it also may be just after the junta's fall (or bailing out) or whatever passes as "the revolution".

"Why doesn't CounterSocial have an 'Edit' button!?"

Two reasons. The first is that an edit button for social media is a bad idea because it can be readily abused in all kinds of ways.

The second is that 'DELETE AND REDRAFT" is better in just about every way, especially in a place like this where likes and boosts aren't particularly important.

@ecksmc @process: They've raised three generations of The Cult of Hustle, of "They're not people; they're product", "It's survival of the fittest", etc. Useful idiots. Cannon fodder/ Crypto fodder.
