Eleanor wants vegetable chili for dinner tonight.
Well who am I to deny her? Is four different peppers sufficient? ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ

@holon42 It'll be a big ole pot so it's not going to blow anyone's head off but so much flavour! ๐Ÿ˜‹

@stueytheround

yes, just kidding, sounds delish. i love veggie chili, with plenty of pure unfiltered corn oil to make up for the lack of fat.

yum๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹

@holon42 Ooooh! I'll be adding a bit of cocoa and since we're not actually vegetarians, I might be cheeky and use beef stock ๐Ÿ˜œ

@stueytheround

cocoa? hmmm, that's something i've never thought of.

how does its flavour change the brew ๐Ÿง™

Follow

@holon42 It adds a savoury depth. You only need a little. I'll add maybe a teaspoon (15ml/5g) to this recipe. Cocoa and chillies are born to be together.

There's an old saying in cookery:

If it grows together, it goes together.

@Annothername

I love yโ€™all, but at this point, is it really chili? ๐Ÿ˜‰

internationally influenced evolved chili๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

@stueytheround @holon42

I usually add a little cocoa, too. It works really well with the earthiness of beans and chiles.

And chocolate and chiles are a traditional Mexican combination. Think mole negro--which I use as an inspiration for my chili.
