He was a wonderful leader.
My boss used to have a photo in his office showing a small tugboat next to a gigantic ocean freighter. He said it was to remind him that, even as the leader of the company, he only had limited steerage. His job was to keep pushing in the direction the company needed to go.
I think that analogy applies to everyone in a leadership position - except maybe dictators.
