@Lizardguy Firewatch was a close runner-up for me in this category for similar reasons.
What's the best game you ever impulse-bought on Steam without reading any reviews or doing any research beforehand?
For me, it's Graveyard Keeper. 10/10, would lose 60 hours of my life to play it for the first time again if I could.
@Hobyrim I only knew about it because Nintendo Power mentioned it back in the day. They certainly didn't make it obvious though!
Writers: heed my call! I've written some characters I had wanted to keep into a corner and I don't know how to get them out of it. Opinions, please!

Landmines of the mind
Recently on the bird site, Alanis Morissette boosted a fan's joke lyrics to a hypothetical parody of one of her songs ("You Oughta Mow"), and Weird Al jumped into the conversation with a friendly "stay in your lane!"
That's the most wholesome content I've seen on the bird site in a very long time.
@Lizardguy I recommend the #cosogaming tag. Also Graveyard Keeper will erase two weeks of your life and you'll love every minute of it.
@KodoAndSangha My favorite quote about this was a random comment on the bird site where the following conversation was relayed: "My bank says I can't afford a $900 a month mortgage, so now I have to rent for $1,350 a month instead."
@ChattyQueequeg an omnipotent, good God would not be petty enough to send folks to hell or any equivalent thereof. It is the believers who want to be vindicated with that sense of justice, not the deity they worship. And of course, if your God does condemn folks to eternal torment, they are not a good God and therefore unworthy of your worship. My two cents.

@growlymoose Make sure he actually waits till 6 hours, or the lockout might get extended. That's happened at our office before. We had to sit on our hands for a day or two to make sure nobody tried to log in for long enough to allow it to reset.
@Politicalsnap I have a heck of a time taking photos through my telescope too. I think this is pretty solid!
@Kurtroedeger done this before. Would do it again. Enjoy!
If you're looking for a couple hours of solid story-driven gameplay on mobile, I very much enjoyed Dr. Chatelet: Faith. It'll cost you about four bucks to play through it, and in the process you'll learn a lot about the concept of orthodox medicine and how it was challenged by science with the invention of the microscope and disinfectants. Pretty cool Burtonesque art, too. #cosogaming
