Fireworks ignite
Sparks among stars, cascading
Greeting the new year
Floor full of paper
Torn to shreds by eager hands
Maybe paws as well
@EnochianEntropy again 😆 I played the heck out of the original and was always disappointed they never made a proper sequel. Maybe if this goes well, they will!
My daughter, who could not find her toothbrush if it was IN HER MOUTH, somehow found the tiny wrappers to the candy her mother and I borrowed from her Halloween stash last night. There was a full-blown investigation. An interrogation with only the "bad cop". We were compelled to confess and threw ourselves upon the mercy of the court.
She eventually let us off with a stern warning not to disappoint her again.
Toddlers, man...lesson learned: throw the wrappers away!
I may have just threatened to put my cat into time out. It went about as well as you'd expect. #cosoparenting #sleepdeprivation
@SandHillThicket that's gonna be a killer salsa!
"Where's mommy?"
"Sleeping"
"We're all alone?"
"There's two of us, how can we be alone?"
"We're all alone together!"
Touche, kid. Aren't we all.

@ianthealy this is a coping mechanism I can get behind
Bring on the coffee
Black, with cream, or sugar strewn
Modern alchemy
My toddler was talking at length of how she was worried about "the merman." She was scared of him. And I was trying to figure out what she meant by that, and reassured her that of all the various cryptids and mythological creatures, that was one of the least scary, until she pointed outside and squeaked "the merman!". Folks? It was the mailman. #cosoparenting
@thedisasterautist never understood plain pineapple pizza but...if you haven't tried jalapeno and pineapple for a spicy sweet taste, you're missing out
@mcfate I knew this was high stakes, but I didn't realize quite how serious it was. Won't someone think of the bears?!
@CriticalCupcake what a fun headline 🤣
Red Autumn apples
Crispy, crunchy, sweet, and tart
Natural candy
Children awaken
Though the sun is barely up
Snoozing is a dream
@Museek it's that very same veneer of creativity that gives me pause. It's artificial, but reminiscent of the real thing and that makes it seem all the more surreal.
@mcfate see this is why I double check what it says using a traditional search. I was hoping I was missing something, but it seems perhaps not.
Question for the #writing community: have you had any luck using the various AI bots to improve research (such as confirming aspects of your setting, like how common flashlights might have been in the 1940s)? I end up doing the regular Google searching regardless to confirm the answers, myself...so that nullifies the time savings. Has anybody found one they trust and that provides citations for their output?
