I’m not entirely sure I understand what you’re saying but all the woman had to do was call and let my mom know she was planning on coming earlier than what was expected. My mom was just up the road at one of my brother’s houses.

For years when I was a working photojournalist, I often wondered if I was called for jury duty if I'd be disqualified as being potentially "prejudiced."

Definitely not equal. I lived in CO off and on for 15 years, NM now off and on for 20, and IN for 9. I leave the state and now I get a summons?? 😂

I finally get a jury summons, sent to my address here in New Mexico and guess where the summons is coming from? Marion County, Indiana. Dudes! I haven't lived in IN for over a year and a half!
I've always been interested in serving as a juror but in my years I've only ever received one, back in the early '90s and when I called in that morning I was told I was no longer needed.

I just got a stupid call from one of my mom's home care agency nurses.
She: "I'm supposed to see your mom at 4 pm and I called and knocked on the door and there's no answer."
Me, looks at the clock and it says 3:42pm: "Did you call her beforehand to let her know you were coming early? She's probably out and about."
She: "I guess I'll just sit out here and wait until 4 o'clock."

I still have all my film cameras: Pentax K1000, Canon EOS A2E, and an Olympus Stylus but I don't have the money to buy the film and get it processed.

I shall drop my head in shame in my acknowledgment that I still crave Dunkin' Donuts powdered chocolate-creme-filled delight. That and their Boston Crème.

I haven't had either in a very long time but I drive by the shops all the time.
