Somehow I missed this one.
Two #Florida dipshits, er, cops, unloaded their weapons at an unarmed man after they mistook an ACORN FALLING for gunfire.
They were damn quick to their triggers.
Luckily they managed to not hit anyone.

We had a massive acorn drop this autumn. Hell, my yard is STILL covered in them. They were nailing the cars left & right. Not once did I think "gunshot". What's funny (not funny haha) are when gun nuts say only non-gun people confuse fireworks with gunshots. I grew up with guns - from muskets to rifles to modern handguns - & depending on distance, atmospheric conditions, type of firework & windows - sometimes I have trouble distinguishing them.
But an acorn WHILE I'm outside?
