I think it's a combo of better knowing the threat we face + residual trauma from the hubris of 2016. For me anyway...
How banoodles is it that the prospect of making f*cking history tomorrow by electing the first woman/woman of color ever, is entirely secondary to the prospect of just... keeping the republic?

After PT today, headed to Aldi’s w/grocery list to fill. Got necessary ingredients for several dishes, fruit, vegetables, dairy etc.
Made a special trip to ShopRite as I had to have coffee yogurt which I recently discovered I love.
Standing next to me was a couple to whom I blurted, “Better get two in case of civil war.” The wife said “We’re stocking up too just in case.” I said “How did we get here?”
We stood looking at each other, tears welling up.
This is where we are.
