How banoodles is it that the prospect of making f*cking history tomorrow by electing the first woman/woman of color ever, is entirely secondary to the prospect of just... keeping the republic?

I think it's a combo of better knowing the threat we face + residual trauma from the hubris of 2016. For me anyway...

@rpardee I’ve been thinking about this a lot today. I know, from my perspective as a woman, I am not allowing myself to get excited like I did in 2016. I can’t take that fall again, should it happen. At like 8pm I was dancing around listening to Beyoncé, and by 1am I was crying my face off, just gutted. It really was very traumatizing and I think that’s why many of us are just trying to keep it together.
