I have no doubts about that. but some people live with the believe that if they did not engage with some asshole, then the asshole will not come to try and kill them. that is not true, and there is a real example of that.
if russia lives long enough, it will start the war with the US. I have no doubts about that. I do have doubts about russia having future in the current borders tho 😬

here is a thought. If one thinks that whatever happens in Ukraine has nothing to do with their country (no matter which one), I'd like them to think about another thing - Ukraine had zero conflicts with Iran. ever. moreover, we had some progress in peaceful collaboration. yet, Iran is a key ally of our main enemy right now.
