Really nice video about the Geography of Ukraine. Highly recommend. Smart, precise and entertaining.

I left my country in 2014. I kept up with the news as much as I could. Same trend was always active - there is no/not enough change. I grew up in 90 and that was the time when you did not call cops, as the cops were all mafia. fast forward 2023 - I read a story from a famous blogger, she promotes an app that allows fast and discrete call to police in emergency. My country has huge progress in police reform, and that's the proof from the people themselves ❤️

How is that when people say "soviet army" they mean "russians". how about the fact that almost 40% of the soviet red army consisted of Ukrainians?

how about my grandparents who fought in red army? does not count or what? I'm so angry for this appropriation... One of my grandfathers was in the nazi camp, he was ethnic Ukrainian, a regular POW of the nazis. for escaping, ussr sent him to the ussr camp later.

was always like that. It's just the world did not see it.

Read about the Second Battle of Donetsk Airport (2014). There is a special section there - about the Cyborgs.

I think Ukrainians will finally understand what twitter has become and will come up with their own social platform. I'd put my money on it. 😎 👀

FYI, not long time ago, Ukraine swapped Medvedchuk, a notorious russian agent who we hate a lot for his participation in political trials against Soviet dissidents (for example, Vasyl Stus, who died in prison, 47 yo) and other shitty things.
We exchanged him for several warriors from AzovStal. the whole country celebrated.
some political outcasts tried to use it to divide the society, failed magnificently.

funny thing just realized. in the US the current president has the advantage of being re-elected for a second term. In Ukraine it's the opposite. the only president out of 6 elected (+1 current) that had a second term was Kuchma (1994-2005). everyone else was kicked out of the office by the people one way or another 😂

thousands of russian bots are unleashed to attach any posts about the recent Times cover.
Means that hurt 😂 Good

(how do I know about bots? they post messages in Ukrainian that were horribly translated from russian 😂 I literally see that myself. it's the benefit of being native in two languages)

My grandparents saw trains sitting at the stations, full of rotting grain, confiscated from starving Ukrainians.
My father used to say that Ukraine is so fertile that the only hunger ever possible in Ukraine is men-made. There was no widespread hunger in the history of Ukraine recorded before or after soviets.

Germany declares Ukraine's Holodomor famine a genocide.

Every horrific crime against humanity should be recorded and acknowledged. Think about this:
- Holodomor. Deaths: Around 3.9 million Ukrainians.

My grandparents were Holodomor survivors. We have family stories about it. It affected even me (third gen). We remember. 🕯️

really important article on how russia silenced Ukrainian culture for centuries. written by T. Snyder

This is a Ukrainian soldier greeted by his grandmother right after liberation of Kherson. Anyone with even a bit of emotional intelligence will understand this video and what the people are feeling right now.
