@MindfulWilliam
that's the worst age for the dog ever π
I exhaled when my younger one turned 1 yo. I always new he will become a great dog (he is now) but back then "believe" was the only thing that kept me sane π he was the worst puppy/teen I've ever seen in my entire life
@TXPamInOH
neither - move to the side and let them pass.
@LSWellesley
thank you! I'll definitely look into that! π π π

2/ and recently there was a video of Ukrainian famous YouTuber who investigated how Ukrainian YouTube trands are formed. He came to the conclusion that russian content is given privilege to get in Ukrainian trending video lists.
And I feel like it's "fake it until you make it" tactics by russians employed here. Plus, conveniently used to point fingers, fuel hate, divide the society. Such a topic to have a loud convo over Friday beer π
@LSWellesley
1/ This whole thing makes me think a lot.
A while ago I watched a video of 2018 conference where an Israeli rep in Ukraine was talking about increasing antisemitism in Ukraine. When asked about details he said that it was the comments on social media platforms that indicated that rise. And then that there was no or almost no hate crimes against Jewish. During the last several months huge amount of bot russian farms were brought to light.

What a shit show π π π
I agree with most of what you write, though I would add that conspiracies are an occasional reality and no doubt, a sometimes-efficient means to an end in infowars.
Yes, infowars are real, and have been since the days of the Roman empire (if not earlier), when propaganda emerged as a useful tool in literature and public oration. And here we are.
Thank you for your very thoughtful work. πππ»
@LSWellesley
Totally agree. "New" probably not the right word, "upgraded" would fit better. Such a complex and interesting topic. And I genuinely think there is less division in the US than we are made to think. β€οΈ
@LSWellesley
The powers outside do contribute to the division inside. Infowars are real thing. I hope the US people will learn from Ukrainians that the enemy is not always invading with the tanks.
Divide and conquer - such an old quote yet so underappreciated. Money for boosts in algorithms, propaganda, trolls, bot farms - this is not a conspiracy, these are the modern weapons. πͺ

I'm afraid that will be exactly that.
one of his fav books is "moon is a harsh mistress". they literally paid for air there.
funny enough, not the only sci fi book that has the same thing. another one off the top of my head is a "bear head". I do believe this is how it's going to be.

when I was going through my open water training I has issues with exactly this - blowing bubbles from my nose, not my mouth.
oh man, this dog is a natural π

FYI, not long time ago, Ukraine swapped Medvedchuk, a notorious russian agent who we hate a lot for his participation in political trials against Soviet dissidents (for example, Vasyl Stus, who died in prison, 47 yo) and other shitty things.
We exchanged him for several warriors from AzovStal. the whole country celebrated.
some political outcasts tried to use it to divide the society, failed magnificently.
@FernLovebond @ChippySuave
negotiation process is a big deal and involves a lot of resources, skill and leverage.
there is a #book on it, pretty good one, called 'don't split the difference'.
on the other note, reps screaming about Whelan make him a horrible favor as they rise his value, which means russians will be asking more to exchange him.
reps are working for russians here, in many ways. add the division of the nation to it.
(Ukrainians do swaps all the time btw)
@Amyfb I had a very important email sorted to promotional. Even worse - the first email went to inbox, the second to promotional. Same company, same person. Two different job interview invites.
After they I switched off promotional and social media sorting. π‘
@Smersh
well, russia is not the same it was in 2012

@killingfloorman π€¦
@LadyIDO I personally think that most people who sells fascism are convinced that they will be in that group of privileged while everyone else will be dutifully serving them.
and that makes me angry.
