So shocking... Sugar makes you fat... Who would have guessed it without this cutting edge research? 🤦‍♂️

We all have different metabolism rates, so some can pack on weight while eating a healthy, balanced diet. But the sooner something converts to sugar, the faster it can become fat in the body.

@poemblaze I gave up sugar a year and a half ago - in every shape and form. Carbs too, except those in veggies. Lost 6 stone, and never looked back!

@homebird I love my carbs too much. But I have mostly eliminated sugar.

@poemblaze Funny thing is, once you go without carbs for a time, you don't miss them, and you feel the "rush" when you do give in.

@poemblaze different kind of sugar - fructose in tiny doses is fine, and if you keep the sugar extremely low, the fat won't turn to body fat, because the body has to have something to burn.

About a month after going low carb, I could taste the sweetness of lettuce. Who knew lettuce was sweet? Sweetness is far more detectable if sugar/carby carbs are gone from diet.

Yes. And we should all be eating differently, according to our body type.
It’s pretty easy to figure out if you pay attention. That’s what I did. If eating a bag of chips, can you just keep going? Lol.
I could demolish a huge bag and not feel full.
In fact, if I’m very hungry, eating an apple would make the hunger worse. Weird but true.
