I have a couple of dishtowels which I rotate out (to protect me from his needle-sharp claws as well as absorb the unholy amounts of drool); they get so crusty, even using two, I have to launder them weekly 😹🤮

As a festive aside, in the game #Cyberpunk2077, a recurring character (Mr Brightman) which you can, at times, even pet, is a #Bakeneko ...and a #Sphynx cat.
It wasn't until my second playthrough I realized it was the same cat from about 50 years ago in the game.
