I've had my echocardiogram. Damned uncomfortable poking and prodding of my ribcage. Should know the results within a day or two.

The official fusion announcement is, to use Biden's words, "a big fucking thing" that will eventually shape the landscape of energy production across the world. This is a time to mark where you are, just like the day when Enrico Fermi conducted his first experiment in atomic fission under the stands at the stadium of the University of Chicago. Mr. Fusion is still some way off, but we're getting there, folks.

I finally have an appointment for an echocardiogram, tomorrow afternoon with a doctor in Rockwall, TX. Here's hoping that everything stays together until then.

I don't know if I want him to find a diagnosis of congestive heart failure or not. A positive diagnosis would at least let me know what I'm fighting against, but it'd mean a lot more restrictions on my life. A negative diagnosis would be better in lots of ways, but it would still leave me wondering what's going on.
