Strip it down to its bare roots, CoSo. What basic coffee do you prefer?

Now drinking Fresh Roasted Coffee brand's Brazilian light roast K-Cup coffee, in a very large mug. Three packets of Equal, lots and lots of real heavy cream, and a Lactaid tablet to make sure I can tolerate it.

Hey, it's a holiday. I can splurge.

Current caffeine consumption: hospital coffee, lotsa creamer, lotsa sugar. It gets the job done.

Current membership credential: a cup of Tanzanian Peaberry with real cream and Equal sweetener. Hoping it'll bust me out of my slumber with just the right amount of wham!, without knocking my kidneys over the Batter's Eye in Minute Maid Park in Houston a la Yordan Alvarez in game six of this year's World Series. There's only so much my body can take right now. 😅

One depressing note -

This LTAC I'm convalescing in has shitty coffee.

They're building a Dutch Bros coffee drive-thru place near my house. What can I expect, especially in comparison to Starbucks or other places?

Brazilian light roast - check.
Equal sweetener w/caffeine & B12 - check.
Three espresso shots - check.
Padded cell for the aftereffects - oops

Bosco Butterscotch flavored Hot Cocoa mixed with Fresh Roasted Coffee's Brazilian Light Roast coffee. Absolute nom.

Trying a caffeine mix: Brazilian Light Roast coffee from Fresh Roasted Coffee and Bosco Butterscotch flavored Hot Cocoa. Tastes pretty good!

I have just downed a cup of desperation. Coffee with three, count 'em, 3 packets of Equal Plus Caffeine and B12, in an attempt to keep from falling asleep at my computer. Amphetamines don't work. Modafinil doesn't work. Come on, baby, you're my last best hope.

Not to harp on the subject, but I'm liking this 100% Maui Yellow Caterra more and more with each cup. I've given my wife a cup this morning to see if her not-yet-awake taste buds can tell the difference between it and the Organic Drago Blend.

Caffeine report on 100% Maui Yellow Caturra: Medium strong. Noticeable. Especially since I've been falling asleep at my computer almost all day today.

RE: FRC's 100% Maui Yellow Caturra K-Cups - I don't usually like Hawaiian coffee. This is one rare bird with me liking it. Give it a try: you might wind up spoiling yourself.

Today''s test mug is Fresh Roasted Coffee's 100% Maui Yellow Caturra, a medium roast/mild bodied K-Cup. Cupping notes claim "Allspice, Honey Wheat, Fig Jam." I'm not sure about the outer two, but I can definitely taste the honey wheat. Very, very smooth, practically no bitterness. Eminently drinkable. Pricey at $19.95 for 18 K-Cups, but I'm gonna say it's the rare pod that's worth it. Recommended.

Very unusual entry this morning. Fresh Roasted Coffee's Organic Drago Blend, brewed on my Keurig's "strong" setting, one scoop of Coffee-Mate, two teaspoons of rock amber sugar, and two teaspoons of Cadbury Drinking Chocolate.

Today is when Starbucks needs to resurrect their Chantico drinking chocolate. That stuff was so good...
