Anxiety be a real bitch…….

And withdrawal from gabapentin has me fucked!

I’m like double whammy here folks.

I lost it at therapy, followed by losing it at the doctors office, to which I was prescribed stuff to help with both anxiety and withdrawal.

Oh and the icing: I haven’t had cannabis in days!

😭😭😭😭😭😭

Birdsite has apparently smushed Tweetdeck, or at least the free version of it. This is going to be a dealbreaker for the last hangers-on.

RIP @CorreroM - I didn't know a lot but I knew enough. You were a good friend while I had the privilege of your aquaintance.

You will be missed and I wish I'd taken you up on some of your offers to go for a beer some time, some where.

Everyone I know who knew you, and those that I don't know, who knew you all say the same thing....

'WTF? He was a good man."

Finally got the lights back on after the ice storm in Austin.

Just had a bit of a scare. I'd been feeling "off" for a while, and things got bad enough for me to haul out the blood pressure cuff. The surprise result? 88/43. Thought I was going back to the hospital again. Fortunately, my BP was up to 106/55 a few minutes later. No ER for me, thank goodness.

@EileenKCarpenter I think I got here rather quickly, unfortunately. The doctor said that I presented at the hospital with all the symptoms of a kidney injury at first last Thursday.

I'm home from the hospital. Thanks for all the messages of support and album purchases while I was bedridden. I have Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease, per the hospital doctor. Got a kidney doctor appointment early next week.

@VelvetDuchess I posted about it a time or two. I was admitted last Thursday when the swelling in my legs got out of control. I had one or two other problems that needed treating as well. Things are a bit better now, and I'm supposed to go home today with home health services coming out to take care of me.

Current caffeine consumption: hospital coffee, lotsa creamer, lotsa sugar. It gets the job done.

My swelling & redness in my legs has gone down a decent bit - not gone, but lessened. Still on antibiotics. Looking at a Thursday hospital discharge date. Would've been Wed. if not for the ice storm in the D/FW area.

Thanks to anyone who bought my music to cheer me up while I've been hospitalized. There's still time - leejackson1.bandcamp.com has my stuff. Much obliged!

I've been hospitalized since Thursday the 26th. Went to a Wound Care Clinic with horribly swollen legs w/ulcers. Doctor admitted me straight from his office. Since then, I've been diagnosed w/Peripheral Artery Disease. No ETA on how long I'm going to be in here.

@BlueStateBabe Meclizine doesn't work, eh? Have you tried the prescription Scopolamine patches - the ones you wear behind your ear? I wore those on the Jon St. John (Duke Nukem's voice actor) cruise convention a couple of years ago, and they worked wonders. I understand you've got a more basic problem with the inner ear, but I would hope that the Scopolamine would give you some small moments of relief while you seek a longer term solution.

@BlueStateBabe I'm sorry to hear you're suffering from vertigo. You can get Over The Counter Meclizine to help treat it - Amazon, CVS, etc. sell it. I'd start by sticking to Meclizine and avoiding the alternatives that will show up in a search. Only try them if the Meclizine doesn't work.

@BlueStateBabe That might even be too much. My "step" is a small one step up onto a landing porch-ette in front of my front door. It's almost more of a half-step than a real step. I don't know, we'll think of something. As long as I'm using my walker, I don't have a problem. It's only when I'm using my cane, like I was on Monday, that I run into support problems.

@VelvetDuchess I've had an echocardiogram and a nuclear chemical stress test done. Those raised some doubt as to whether I might have HFpEF (Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction), but the cardiologist has started doubting this lately. He's pointing the finger at my kidneys, since my kidney numbers are really bad. I don't know what to think anymore.

@BlueStateBabe A railing sounds like a good idea, but I don't know if we can afford one. I'll float the suggestion and see what happens. Thanks!
