I'm home from the hospital. Thanks for all the messages of support and album purchases while I was bedridden. I have Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease, per the hospital doctor. Got a kidney doctor appointment early next week.

Probably less important whether you're stage 3 (which is almost normal after a certain age) vs how rapidly you got there. If you had IV antibiotics ten years ago and your kidney function tanked but has been steady since, that's different than if you've been worse every time you've been checked the past year.

@EileenKCarpenter I think I got here rather quickly, unfortunately. The doctor said that I presented at the hospital with all the symptoms of a kidney injury at first last Thursday.
