Am I supposed to be mad when my 9am flight is rebooked to 6:40am at 9:48pm last night?
Oh, and it's my connection to catch my flight home from Europe.
No bitterness here. No, no, no...
(but I made it!)

@Render
He might be a neighbor of mine.
I don't trust that guy.

Holy sh$#@!!
That protest was 120k people and was international news!
I actually missed it while exploring the neighborhood.
But, there sure were a lot of people walking around the Marais and clogging up the cafes.

There's nothing like a trip to a foreign country to shake up your assumptions and comfort zone about your home country.

Strolling through Paris at the moment thinking about how much more vibrant this place is than San Francisco. Then I learn about a 20k person protest about wages, inflation and the environment that is about to erupt 40 ft from where I'm sitting at this cafe.

The grass is rarely greener....

Hey @process,
I was flying over Ireland this morning and took this photo.
The sunrise over the clouds was spectacular.

@Museek
I had a friend die too young.
At his funeral I learned much more about him.
He lived so much already. I didn't know.
We shouldn't judge our lives on how many minutes we survived, but on how much goodness we brought into the world.
I read a Marcus Aurelius passage this morning. It said to think of your life as if you had already died.
Now live a good life.

This doesn't make today any easier. I'm so sorry for your loss.

@Museek
So, so sorry.
My mother in law died a week ago. You expressed sympathy when we were around her death bed. I wish strength and comfort upon you during this time.

This is where the evidence is for moving the children to Crimea.

@corlin
I had a conversation with Dr Jill Tarter at SETI about how morality and ethics could provide some perspective on how to establish experiments to detect ETI's.
She introduced me to the concept of MetaLaw. I'm still attempting to understand it.

An atrocity now in the works in Kherson, :

"Schoolchildren from Kherson will be evacuated to occupied Crimea."

This is mass kidnapping by a rogue state.

This is the sun in Calcium-K light. It's the wavelength that makes it look lavender. It shows the structure of the active regions very clearly. I took an image a day for two weeks and made a little video so you can see how it rotates.

@Render
Well, they are pretty cool looking when they roll in for Fleet Week. That's worth something, right?

@AkomoCombine
Belarussian or Russian?
If Russian, it's probably conscripts with little or no training. Cannon fodder.
If Belarussian, there's a high probability of turncoats.
