There's a delightful irony to the observable fact that, after ages of being scared shitless of the Antichrist, when a man shows up who publicly shares most of that mythical creature's alleged attributes, Conservative Christians leave a smoking trail to the polls to elect him President.
The more I get overwhelmed, the more I feel like I can't do anything. Even the things that should come easily are difficult. Being a single parent, dealing with an auto engine replacement, a really hard problem at work, and finishing my grad school final has me where re-reading this note is a challenge. At this point, I stop and break down what I have left to do into a list. I make things bite sized. Oh, and I remember to breathe.

I am almost ready to proof and revise my final. This is the last thing in the last class of the last degree I will *EVER* let myself be duped into. I told mid-kid that instead of a diploma, what I want is someone to punch me in the face and yell "That was stupid! Why did you spend four years doing that?!"

Yesterday was one of those nexus days when all three groups decided that mine what the house to infest. *Hobs, goblins and gremlins all made a showing. I am terrified to go look in my kitchen and fridge.
