I haven't been as present here as I was a couple years ago, because I've been focusing on the author side of my social media time. I still need to do that (now more than ever), but I will spend more time here with y'all.

Revisiting an email from an aunt today. She learned that as descendants from my grandmother, who was imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp, I and my wife and kids are eligible for German citizenship.

I think we will pursue this.

Sure enough, when I went out to unload my car this morning, there was a big old roofing nail stuck in her front tire. She held pressure all the way home, even though she was hobbled. I put on her spare and told her she was a good girl and that I'd get it fixed for her tomorrow.

Good luck to anyone doing NaNoWriMo this year (or a similar writing challenge). I've done it 16 times so I don't have anything left to prove to anyone (including myself). I disassociated myself from the organization after they horribly mishandled a forum moderator grooming underage victims, and then went on record supporting generative AI. You can still do the challenge without involving the organization though.

I don't have a lot to spare (I'd have more if folks bought more books!), but I was finally able to make a contribution to Kamala Harris. I hope she wins because of it! 🌊🌊🌊
