Me, looking at the TV at the gym: Tennis is dumb.

Me, a few minutes later: Tennis scoring is dumb.

Me, a few minutes later: Tennis is just quieter pickleball that pays better.

Me, taking a long, slow drag on a cigarette and staring off into the distance: Goddamn pickleball, man...

My daughter has a pet snake (my grand-snake?) named Sir Lancelot. She called today to inform us she'd discovered Sir Lancelot is a girl snake because she doesn't have a pair of expected snakey, uh, appendages. I told her she had to change the snake's name. She asked "To what?" And I said, "Sir Lancelot, First of Her Name."

Listening to a lot of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion this morning because life isn't always terrible.

You know the whole "Mole" scene from the first Austin Powers? This was us today at work when the guy with only one eye and no patch came in.

Good night, . I know I haven't been around much, but I only have so much time to social media, and this isn't the best place for me to market my books.

That said, my new release is out now if you like this sort of thing. Cozy fantasy romance, with a healthy portion of humor. It's on Kindle Unlimited and in print.
