@dietotaku I mean, if he really can't go on, I respect that. He has done so very much to help. He stepped in when the country needed him. Whatever he chooses, he is a hero in my eyes. I just hope the Dems, if they replace him now will find someone who can win the race, and let him retire with dignity, if it comes to that.

@Museek Yeah, I know. So much that could be said about that, but I grew up, I moved on. There are scars that will never heal, but it's been my mission in life ever since to help others in similar situations. Cults are not pleasant places to be.

@Museek Oh it gets worse. I asked her once, "if I needed a blood transfusion to save my life, would you give it to me?" She said, "no, I'd have to let you die." I felt so "loved" at that point in my childhood (7 years old)

I confess, I've been way too "down" to be real today. Partly pain, partly lack of good sleep, partly anxiety about the upcoming elections in the US and UK. I hope tomorrow night brings good news, at least for the UK.

@Museek Right???? I remember asking my mother once, "what will happen if I disobey God?" She said I would be "annhilated" by him. I said, "you mean, dead, gone, not knowing anything?" "Yes", she replied, then saw my face and I don't know if she realised what she had just said, but the penny dropped for me, big time!

@grrlscientist I watched it a few weeks ago. There were a couple of nights I lay awake thinking about what I saw, and being quite afraid for our future. Do humans never learn? It happens all so insidiously, and the current right wing effort is like an invasive cancer, growing behind the scenes. We must keep fighting it.
