Irony. The guy who sent me the Thomas Sowell quote about government spending and who was also saying most rich people are nice was with me in an online Bible study today about the parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man. 🤣
if more actually spent time reading the NT, instead of getting lost in the wars, etc of the OT for their opinions, it might lead to some thinking perhaps.

yes, it's all too human, for sure.
and many texts do have innumerable meanings, that's language.
yes, without the requisite metanoia, the "loving kindness" too often becomes inauthentic, pushy, and judgmental.
