@singlemaltgirl my high school buddy and I would go on school sponsored ski trips sometimes. We would play this game of falling in front of pretty girls to gain their sympathy. On one trip, we got to the top of the lift and had identified "targets of opportunity". After the first run, my friend said it was too icy to be effective. I said nonsense and proceeded to follow a girl. Just as I was ready to make my move, I really lost control and crashed right in front of her. /1

@KGinKS @DavidSalo there is not a huge movement in Congress to replace him. The media is motivated by $$$. The polls are not indicative this far out and beside, their methodology and target audiences have been broken for quite some time. Things will continue as usual for Democrats in 2028. What I think we will see is the formation of a new conservative party made up of the remnants of the GOP, libertarians, etc. This is nothing but good for progressives.

@Pat_Walrond @yadayadayada it helps if you break it down into powers of two. 1 MiB = 2²⁰ bytes, 1 GiB = 2³⁰ bytes, 1 TiB = 2⁴⁰ bytes, and so on. No need for the layperson to know the actual number. Each "level" is 1,024 times as many bytes as the previous one. A MiB is actually called a "mebibyte" and it's distinct from "MB" but in today's world most people use them interchangeably. 1 MB = 10⁶ bytes, 1 GB = 10⁹ bytes, etc.
