Quick update from town while grabbing coffee between torrential downpours...

Yes, he's feeling it now -and- it looks like drainage areas will be flooding soon. Gonna grab 16 from school. I'm not f*cking around today, period. Peace, good people. Bbl.

Good morning, CoSo. Thank you all for your compassion and concern last night. Surprisingly, son's either doing much better than expected considering his car *did* land upside-down, or the body aches haven't set in yet. Other than the glass cuts and a few abrasions, only his neck is bothering him.

His car was hauled to our mechanic, so that's our first stop this morning. Hopefully his glasses, wallet, keys, and our family's laundry are still in it. We'll play it where it lands. Love all y'all. 💖

Everybody remember their today. And all week. 💚🩵🩷💜❤️🧡💛
We need it.

... he would've very likely careened off the steep hillside and, well... The outcome would've been much worse.

Yes, vehicles can be replaced whereas my son cannot. Physically, he's banged up and has a bunch of cuts from broken glass. X-rays & an MRI indicated no new major injuries, including no new trauma to areas damaged from the rollover in April.

16 and I are so relieved he's home and in good spirits, all things considered. However, I'm pissed off about this situation as a whole.

Fair warning: working extremely hard to not freak tf out. Would anyone care to guess who just had another car wreck less than six months from the one that could've claimed his life?

Yes, it was my 23 y/o son. No, it wasn't his fault. As he was driving home from the laundromat, a deer darted in front of his car. He missed the deer. Details after that are still sketchy for me, given that I am mentally overwhelmed. EMTs called to assist, told my son that if he'd hit that deer on that wet s-curve..

In Mexico, papel picado are paper cut-outs usually cut with sharp fierritos (small chisels) from as many as fifty layers of colored tissue paper at a time. Many, like these, are made for Día de los Muertos.

Well, it looks like Monday is gearing up to be quite a soaker. What condition some of these rural roads might be in on Tuesday is anyone's guess. Not worried about getting my son and I to our polling place - 4WD FTW!

Spooky On this day of October 31st.

On October 31, 1926, the world-famous magician and escape artist Harry Houdini died under mysterious circumstances. Known for his death-defying stunts and elaborate illusions, Houdini had always insisted he could survive any challenge—except, perhaps, the one that fate had in store.

If you witness *ANY* *KIND* of shenanigans outside a polling place or vote dropbox - no matter how minor - call these numbers.

Everyone is free to vote their conscience without intimidation, harassment, or deceit.

Pass it on.
