“Georgia officials have dismissed all members of a state committee charged with investigating deaths of pregnant women. The move came in response to ProPublica having obtained internal reports detailing two deaths.”

Why? Because they didn’t like the leak that showed their deaths were preventable. So they think they fired the leakers. This is what happens when you try to suppress the truth.

Oh, yeah, the deaths are linked to the draconian anti abortion law.

“No matter how many times this drama gets restaged, the parts and scripts remain largely the same. Center-left Democrats insist that their party must win over swing voters with moderation, while some progressives maintain that it actually needs to mobilize its disaffected core constituencies with a more radical agenda.”

Both of these are wrong.

But MSM is going to point the finger and pretend they didn’t sane-splain Trump while saying Biden was senile.

“Just sit in your Ferrari and turn on the heat. Problem solved, duh!”

@damian_reloaded

Wait.

The US has ZERO paramilitary?

How do they define paramilitary? Because using the dictionary meaning we have quite a few!

@ecksmc

Another reason to buy your software.

I never use hacked or cracked software. It’s not just being ethical, it’s making sure I don’t lose decades of work to some asshole with a fourth grade education).

Again, Trump does NOT win the popular vote. He has no mandate.

But he will still say he does and pretend the majority of Americans support him when they do not.

In the end, it won’t matter.

We’re still fucked.

As other said, it was never about jobs or the economy—it was about hate.

And this hate will last past after I’m gone because this election was driven by those under 60 who clearly wanted MORE racism and MORE sexism.

@EllyOnTheGo

By someone whose only design experience was in Minecraft.

Every one of Trump’s picks has criminality in their past.

Every. Damn. One.

He’s a fucking mafia don.

“Bondi’s ties to Trump have come under scrutiny in the past. She and Trump faced a bribery complaint in 2016 stemming from a 2013 donation Trump’s charity made to a political committee supporting Bondi’s campaign for attorney general.”

@QueenOfEverything

True free markets collapse. You need rules to keep things stable. The history of our country is that free markets result in constant booms and busts. It is only regulation that smooths things out.

It’s why engines employ methods to regulate. If they did not, they would destroy themselves.

@NorthernInvader

Musk is ignorant about a lot of things. Economics (despite his degree) is not his forte. Scams? Yes, he will take people for a ride (yes, that was a slam on Tesla—good luck when he turns that into a taxi business).

Musk has all the originality of the 14 year old he is. It’s either X or Doge.

He’s not particularly clever. Hell, he didn’t even name Tesla. That was the two guys who started it.

@IrelandTorin

But, it will also destroy banks, property values and the value of the dollar. The rich DEPEND on a certain amount of stability.

They want stability (when it comes to their own money and investments) but instability when it comes to others.

The problem is you can’t do both.

I agree, Musk and many others would be the first to argue slavery is good. As long as they were the slaveholders.

“The key to the plan is something called Schedule F, which the Trump administration created out of thin air in an executive order published on Oct. 21, 2020”

Trump wants to do things through executive order. He wants to bypass laws and Congress and the whole kit and caboodle. But that isn’t how the Presidency works. The President is not a king.

So unless we want to eliminate our Constitution altogether, he has a big problem.

This is dumb to the power of googol (1 followed by 100 zeros, not the search engine).

I’m not being alarmist I’m stating a fact: you do not get growth by putting 2.1 million people out of a job. That’s slightly less than the jobs lost by Trump over four years.

Now, how would Trump do this?

“Their group plans to install legal experts… to review regulations before presenting a list of rules for Trump to consider halting through executive action...”

Small problem… it’s illegal.

You. Can. Not.

In fact, you will EXACERBATE it. Trump wants massive tax cuts. At the same time, Musk is talking about massive firings. A massive number of people who will no longer be able to buy THINGS. Which means more people lose their jobs. Secondary, tertiary jobs will be lost. This isn’t me talking out of my butt, this is basic economics. Economists have been writing about this before any of you were born.

These people are too stupid to understand they are talking economic extinction.

You cannot make money killing the system that oversees the system. What you will get is massive inflation, massive unemployment and massive debt. Think Greece or Argentina without the happy ending.

Greece’s unemployment is STILL over 10% and it’s been a decade.

These people are too damn dumb to understand what they are proposing. Margaret Thatcher trashed her country. Reagan turned the US from a creditor country to a debtor country.

Musk thinks he can solve our problem with austerity.

What is disturbing in all of this is they don’t seem to understand they have no game plan… they have, at best, a theory that is has not been proved—that somehow government is wasting money despite the fact it has no investors to please. In fact, government is FAR MORE EFFICIENT at providing goods and services THAN ANY PRIVATE BUSINESS.

Why?

Because it has no investors and does not make a profit.

This is the real reason they want to kill government—to make money. BUT (cont)

Doesn’t mean you are smart, and in this case these people are not, it just means you failed upwards. I’ve known many CEOs in my life and I can name only a few that were cognizant about how they got there. The rest thought it was some innate ability (which they constantly proved they did not possess).

Musk and Ramaswamy will be startled at how a 2.1 million people losing their jobs will trash unemployment numbers—because, well, unemployment is calculated by people not having jobs.

… business practices to government (you cannot because it isn’t a business, duh).

Also, just because you have cred in a bank does NOT mean you understand how systems work—Musk HIRES people because he is too stupid to be an engineer (he really doesn’t understand it). Ramaswamy THINKS good idea will save America then has STUPID ways to implement them (how do you transition 2.1 million people to the private sector? Who hires NRC regulators? Some jobs CAN NOT transfer).

Being a CEO… (cont)

“When you peel back the layers of whimsical, gauzy tech-bro speak, their ideas can be boiled down to one principle: massive cuts to federal programs that, when deployed elsewhere, have caused calamity.”

TL;DR—Massive inflation and horrendous unemployment that cannot be fixed by tariffs or any other “magic words.”

The problem? Musk and Ramaswamy do NOT understand the complexities of government. They think of it as a business (it is not) and that you can apply (cont)
