Don't like this economy? OK, just wait for Trump & GOP to ruin it
Authoritarians always screw up the economy — GOP presidents have done that for decades
"People kept unsettled & economically stressed by threadbare social safety net under constant attack by Republicans. Living paycheck to paycheck no room for higher food, housing or fuel costs, iving costs rapidly outpacing rising incomes. We've high cost of housing & paltry social safety net."
@duglop As we build & moved into the suburbs, we brought the worst parts of the city with us, the concrete, expansive lawns, regulations outlawing the natural growth of anything (no meadows). It's only in the really old neighborhoods where Nature has crept back, areas with lots of parks & trails. And we wonder why the honeybee is disappearing. There are areaswhere gardening is almost forbidden.
@duglop our yard: wildflowers outside the garden and native plants inside. Lots of bees; not many butterflies yet this year.
@duglop The county shelter where I volunteered for years placed many dogs that owners could not afford to keep, but we also got the public to donate food that we gave away to owners. Obviously that’s a small part of ownership expense compared to veterinary bills but we really tried to help. Many of the surrendered dogs found loving owners and lived out the rest of their lives in comfort and safety.
I am right there in line with you both!
Earlier when I was at the shelter here in the city I witnessed somebody surrendering her dog because she couldn't keep it anymore. She was visibly heartbroken about it crying and not happy saying she loved the dog but had to surrender it. She didn't shoot it. She didn't brag about it She didn't complain about it. She didn't abandon it. She brought it down to the shelter and surrendered it so the dog could have a chance with somebody else. I wish I could spit on Kristi Noem right now...
Yes I am the thing that goes bump in the night!
PS: I'm a Dem/Lib - deal with it!
I'm a VET - respect that!
