Earlier when I was at the shelter here in the city I witnessed somebody surrendering her dog because she couldn't keep it anymore. She was visibly heartbroken about it crying and not happy saying she loved the dog but had to surrender it. She didn't shoot it. She didn't brag about it She didn't complain about it. She didn't abandon it. She brought it down to the shelter and surrendered it so the dog could have a chance with somebody else. I wish I could spit on Kristi Noem right now...
I am right there in line with you both!
@peeppeepcircus oh people gotta line up behind me
@duglop The county shelter where I volunteered for years placed many dogs that owners could not afford to keep, but we also got the public to donate food that we gave away to owners. Obviously that’s a small part of ownership expense compared to veterinary bills but we really tried to help. Many of the surrendered dogs found loving owners and lived out the rest of their lives in comfort and safety.
@duglop get in line. it’s a long line.
