@99reasons4truth
I'm an unapologetic 7 - and it's only that dark because I use chocolate milk as creamer.

I'll drink Kopi Luwak black, otherwise lots of cream & sweetener.

@Kinnison Uh huh. Sure.

IIRC, it's the Lust for monies that is the root of evil.

Not sure what a CEO costume looks like, though.

Of all the horrific videos, photos, and stories coming out of Appalachia this week; the video(s) of Lake Lure are, for me, by far the most disturbing.

Peaceful, pleasant holiday lake, now a clogged trash pile. There's more than just splintered lumber and other items in there: there are bodies, both killed in the flood and floated up from graveyards; livestock and pets; and chemicals, sewage, and rotting foodstuffs.

How TF do you clean that up? Nightmare fuel.

I'm flattered that Ad Astra wants me to invest, but I'm uncertain what exactly is involved:

OK, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it's time for another exciting edition of "Spot the Painfully Obvious Critter!" 😁

Can you find the cleverly hidden butterfly πŸ¦‹ in this photo, taken this morning? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜›

The convergence of thrifty and occasional drinks means I have handles of 4 different alcohols available: vodka, rum, whiskey, and tequila.
My younger self is pumping fists triumphantly. I'm wondering how many years I've got stocked.

Keeping mercuruchrome and Band-aids handy to cover fingers sliced by props; using Vaseline for burns; and ironing patches over the holes in the knees of your jeans.

@Susandoyle Omg. My mother was Tupperware sales champion for several years in a 200,000+ metro area.

When we put her into memory care, cleaning her house was Tupperware archeology.

He had a disease - addiction to gambling; and he grew up in a devastatingly toxic environment. The history of MLB is so disturbing compared to today. The money has changed things, but not always for the worst.

@TrueBloodNet @Tacitus_Kilgore

Also suffer from that. Keyboarding is a problem, counting monies, eating. . . .

I was a medical equipment tech for many years - can't use tools much any more. Fortunately retired, but household chores can be a challenge.

When I cook, the dogs watch the kitchen floor closely - because something's going to end up there, lol.

Back in the day we had a 22yo male present for a routine reenlistment physical. EKG revealed A-fib, history included 2ppd cigarette/ 8 cup per day coffee use.

Kept in medical ward with monitoring; no smoking, no coffee. After 14 hours, at 3am, patient agitation was high, duty corpsman took him off monitor and into restroom for a quick smoke and cup of coffee.

Upon return to bed, patient had spontaneously cardioverted. Physician not best pleased, but. . . it worked.

Anyone else feel guilty for noticing the destruction in coal-mining areas from extreme weather driven by climate change? Schadenfreude.
