So my little side project last night was setting up a private email server with the joke address of YeetMail.tech

I can honestly say I am still surprised and yet super happy to have an email address at yeetmail.tech

I might be trying to start my own secure email server thanks largely on a joke that a friend of mine made. I've already bought the domain name. This might be too good

The world is a dark place sometimes. But honestly, my family is what keeps me going. Goofing around with my wonderful wife, random Nerf shootouts with my son, and another son on the way, life has been throwing wrenches into the works, but it's still pretty damn good for me.

Hope life is good or will get better for all of you out there.

Went Pro. I'm not active on here as much as I would like, but man. This place is awesome.

So, 24 hours with my new One Plus 7T Pro McLaren edition and I have to say, I'm loving it. Still got a lot of tweaks to do with it, but it is so buttery smooth.

So, got a new phone so my son could use my old one. He's growing up.

@mcfate oh yes. The amount of close ups on him, that would have been terrible.

So, the Sonic movie was actually pretty good. Definitely aimed at a younger audience. But it had a lot of heart, a lot of good acting, and a lot of reference for old-school game players. Glad that my worries were for naught

Scared but optimistic. About to head out to watch the Sonic movie.

@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine thank you! Sadly that hat fell apart a while ago. But I did enjoy it and get plenty use out of it.

Work is testing a new coffee vendor for our new office. So far, it seems like a success.

@Dobo yeah, both of my parents passed years ago (dad was 1999 and mom was 2008). Wasn't the executor, but I know it gets rough. Sorry for your loss and your headache.

My father in law passed away in December. I'm the executor of the will, and still trying to live in the house he owned.
Man, the amount of paperwork involved with this crap is tedious.

So, got contacted by a recruiter for a job that could double my pay. But the company reviews have more Bad reviews than I'd like, but from other divisions.

Sometimes, decisions are very hard.

So, made a thing, and showing it out.

Happy to have a working version that doesn't look completely shitty. Still got a lot of tweaks I want to make (some things look a bit weird on actual phones) and features I'd like to add later.

So after having to call Apple to reset her Apple ID, we got my wife's iPad up and running with Autodesk Sketchbook yesterday. In a little over 24 hours, she's getting pretty decent. She's never really done any digital art outside if Microsoft Paint before. So happy she is catching on quick.

@0x56 yeah. That sounds bad. Sucks to deal with.

@0x56 curious about the context. Haven't had 5 minute wait times when I was learning Ruby for class.

Def believe there are good tools for certain situations, and Ruby isn't the best once you reach a certain scale.

But then, I mostly do data processing and manipulation using Python lately.

@0x56 "it will save you time in the long run" it feels like this is almost trying to be a pun.

I give Apple shit for the bad decisions they make that I don't like. I don't like the iPhone, I dislike the repairability and lack of ports on the MacBook Pro. But they make a damned good tablet.

About the only thing they make lately I am willing to spend money on. So much better than pretty much all the competition there. Got my wife an iPad and a Pencil for her birthday. Not a bad piece of tech.
