Deliver Us Mars (Multi, XP'd on PS5)
Sequel to Deliver Us the Moon, venture to Mars as Kathy in search of her father and the people that abandoned Earth to its fate a decade ago.
It's more of the same from the 1st game, puzzle out traversal routes, watch holograms of the past to discover what happened, find collectibles. The plastic char models don't do justice to the great voice acting/the emotions they convey. Good game, tho. deliverusmars.com/

@ucantstop_me Next she's gonna say she didn't actually do the narration, they got an AI to copy her voice.

Mango (PC)
Highly surrealist FP adventure exploring a mind losing touch with reality.
This game is easily in the top ten weirdest games I've ever played list. It's a bit hard to recommend it? You have to be willing to overlook some rather wonky looking art/assets. Also there's a lot of backtracking. Plus some sensitive subject matter, and a bunch of strobe lighting effects. I enjoyed it, but it's likely an acquired taste.

Botany Manor (PC/Xbox/Switch, XP'd on Series X) It's 1890, and Arabella has returned to her manor and its garden. Grow and catalog some interesting plants.
This is a cozy FP walking sim/Puzzle game. Very similar look as The Witness etc. Quite odd plants you must puzzle out how to grow, lol. It's fairly short, 4ish hours. I do rather like the Victorian setting as well.

Ok. I am now curious how many of y'all (after posting Coil) know Negativland. So here's Sycamore. youtu.be/KoKZ7YZ5AI8

Aight, little bit farther into left field. Coil - Dark River(remastered) from Love's Secret Domain

@Eulimnadian Yeah I got lucky and had cool ASF parents who clued me in to the movie/OST back in the day. I might be biased but my parents still pretty cool, lol.

BTW, @th3j35t3r , I will absolutely show up at your apt for a screening of Birdy :P

Y'all know Peter Gabriel for like, Sledgehammer, etc right? How many of you know his work on movie soundtracks? like say Birdy? Which is a fucking excellent movie, btw. Here's the OST to it. Personal fave is Slow Marimbas.

*Slight* change of pace from the last post. How many of y'all even aware of Consolidated? Consolidated - White American Male

And BTW. it runs perfectly on Linux, at least in my case. Currently running Garuda which is Arch based.

Harold Halibut (Multi, XP'd on PC) Experience life on FEDORA, a spaceship crashed and floating in an endless ocean, from the POV of Harold, FEDORA's Everyman janitor.

Do you like Point & Click/Adventure games? Play this. It's that simple. Brilliant animation/art style. Good narratives. Great voice acting. Excellent music, including a couple licensed surprises. I very much enjoyed this game. Absolutely worth the price of admission.

Observation (Multi, XPd on PS5) You are SAM, an AI tasked with the operation of a space station. Or are you?
What's happened? Where is the rest of the crew? Why can't she, or you, remember? Strange symbols float in your lenses. What do they want? Uncover the mysteries surrounding the Observation, and yourself, in this Sci-Fi thriller as you assist Emma Fisher via your various functions on the station. Very enjoyable 👍 👍

Gris (Multi, XPd on Series X)
Gris is hard to explain. You play as a girl that's lost her voice, and her world is crumbling around her because of that. It's a stylish puzzle platformer that hits the feels button hard. You aren't quite sure what's wrong, but something is and everything is dark and sad to start with. You are attempting to fix it and bring the color back to this strange world. Def recommend.

@nutmegger Likely none of them. I haven't watched "news" in ten years, either. Went old school and set up an RSS reader on my PC (Thunderbird) with feeds for a dozen news sites like The Guardian, AFP, even my local NBC affiliate TV station. Check those every morning. Set up another reader on my phone (Readrops) with a bunch of tech/gaming/science sites, such as IGN, Ars Technica, Engadget. I check that stuff while I'm on the stationary bike 3 times a week. Who needs to watch TV.

@Oma_Trisha Indeed. Just kinda supports my "these are not serious people" thesis. I guess they didn't spend enough time at the library.

Well shit, sounds like my kinda party.

Seriously tho, fuck these completely unserious people with iron pineapples. This shit is why I cut the cord a decade ago. Don't sub to any online equivalents either. The hell I'm giving Fox any money.

(My mom is a retired librarian. Pretty sure I would have noticed if she was packing BDSM gear and a coke spoon to go to work.)

The Crystal Method - Keep Hope Alive (Trip Hop Mix)
A sentiment that seems more relevant by the hour, lately.
