@Razdawg22 Considering who owns Twitch, it's not exactly a surprising one.

Twitch are updating their rules & decided that LGBTQ+ is a "Sensitive social issue" & needs to be hidden behind a content warning.

Obviously this is bad for LGBTQ+ streamers & a slippery slope. Here's a petition to remove that bullet point you can vote on as a Twitch user.

@th3j35t3r I haven't bothered with WaPo since Bezos bought it, and I haven't been back to Twitter since the sale to Musk finalized. Deleted everything it would let me and signed out, never to return. Don't even miss it.

Thank Goodness You're Here (Multi, XPd on PS5) As a nameless salesman, slap your way through the fictional English town of Barnsworth and engage in many shenanigans with the inhabitants.
This game is so good. If you like Monty Python etc you owe it to yourself to pick this game up on whatever platform you have that it's available on. I can't recall the last time I laughed so much while playing a game. I even played through it twice, and might a 3rd time πŸ‘ πŸ‘

G4TV - Cinematech

The first ever episode of Cinematech. How many of y'all remember watching this back in 2002(April, to be exact)?

@th3j35t3r You know what, dude? If you took this site "sub only" in some fashion, I'd pay it. I've let my WoW sub run on for nearly 20 years now and I absolutely do not play the game every month(shit I've skipped at least a year straight more than once). I do check on this place every day, tho.

Gorillaz - Tomorrow Comes Today
This vid fairly perfectly captures the essence of the early 2000s. Also "Don't think I'll be here too long" sure did sit right with me at the time. Never figured I'd still be around 2 decades later.

David Bowie - I'm Afraid of Americans

Pretty telling that this nearly 30 yr old song (side note, it's weird being the same age as "old" people) not only holds up, but is more and more on point every damn day.

@Kaysymmetry Know the feel. Partner is out of town til Sun. Left Weds. Talking to the cats don't cut it, heh.

It's late for me these days (aka damn, I'm getting old) but I'm not so old I don't stay up "late" some nights and listen to some shit from back in the day.
J. Majik - Mermaids (1997)

@AlphaCentauri Frankly I'm surprised he's not already declaring victory. I will be shocked if he doesn't declare victory before the polls close on Nov 5th.

@Minholkin Yep. We talk to all the cats (4 of em) but one in particular, Alien, absolutely talks back, and will often initiate conversations. Tho we rarely know what she wants, she certainly does want to discuss a lot with us.

Industria (Multi, XPd on PS5) Short, surreal FPS that sends you (as Nora) chasing after your partner Walter inside an AI's world.
This was an impulse buy last year(on sale now too!) and I'm kinda glad I got it. It's not super hard (except hard mode) and the story is interesting, if obtuse. Half Life inspired, this prequel (sequel is TBA) does a decent job hitting its target, tho you do have to be a bit forgiving. A good 1st effort for this team.πŸ‘

You know, when I was growing up and reading SciFi books, I never imagined we'd end up here with machines being used for "human connections".

@Kaysymmetry Yeah, when Bruce Nesmith did that interview where he said "ok yeah, our games don't have polish but at some point you have to just release the game, even if it has 700 bugs" I immediately thought "NO YOU DON'T YOU DOUCHE, ESP IF HALF OF THOSE BUGS BREAK THE ENTIRE GAME. Seriously, even tho I'm not getting younger, I'll wait a bit longer for you to polish THOSE bugs out, thanks."

@Iresine True that.

I grew up in a deeply Red county and so I did not make many friends as a kid, as I had parents so Lib they had MLK's "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community" and Malcom X's autobiography in their personal library, heh. I did not fit in at school πŸ˜€
Moved to a city and made some friends, but mostly homeless people who are gone now. Most of my social interaction these days is online and I prefer people with brain wrinkles, whatever their Gen might be.

@Iresine *points a giant foam finger at the education system that by the time Gen X hit the 80s was already failing hard enough it didn't give most of our Gen the knowledge it needed to like.. KNOW THOSE CHARACTERS WERE THE IMMORAL/AMORAL ASSHOLES OF THE STORY, you know, the bad guys* Gotta give credit where it's due, lol. I do look around at people my age and wonder what might have been had Reagan lost, tho.

The Plucky Squire (Multi, XPd on ) As Jot, rescue your book from Humgrump's bad intentions.
This is a pretty cute platformer with a cool concept: as a char in a book, you are 2D, but 3D when you leave the book's pages. They stuck quite a few minigames in here too. And the ability to change the book scenes by moving words around is fun. Overall just a nice 10 or so hour experience. Do recommend, and it's in PSN Extra's catalog atm.πŸ‘ πŸ‘
