@th3j35t3r These look like alternate Brokeback Mountain covers.

@holon42 @ToruOkada @th3j35t3r

Yeah.. so I saw more than a few screens of Shitter posts where people were "conjecturing" that the Mayor of Coachella had something to do with it.

I think you'll be waiting an awfully long time.

@th3j35t3r Cyberpunk as fuck. Only way it could be more would be if you shopped in some neon. Although I do also wish it wasn't necessary.

@th3j35t3r also, it's even more amusing considering the event he just held with the taxis and all that shit had the Optimus robots making headlines as he talked about how they'll be ready for sale in like 2 years.. while they were being controlled by humans backstage.

@th3j35t3r This is ironic coming from someone who regularly shares "AI" images of obviously false concepts.

On the hardware repair side, I recently acquired a Switch OLED (just the tablet) for $100. No power, no charge. Checked the C port and yep, bent up pins. Got replacements and swapped in a new port. Plugged it in.. battery icon on the screen. It was flat dead lol. Took 20 mins before it would boot up, but it did and charged to 100. I got some Joycons and a Dock on the way to test it with. Guess I need an acct, heh. Hope it's all working, be worth more to resell.

Played through Little Nightmares 1/2 the last few days, and hoowee, do they make Limbo/Inside seem tame lol. Whoever did the designs/SFX for the various things you encounter sure knows how to make your skin crawl. A bit finicky with the platforming, as most "2.5D platformers" are (really these have a lot more 3D depth than most) so some "cheap" deaths. Still enjoyable, do recommend. πŸ‘ πŸ‘

@ArcturusSaDiablo
^^ Yep, this. Also wasn't there some mobile game they were working on in 2020 that was like world police, putting down protestors they called "terrorists"? I could swear that was a thing that blew up for a bit.
And Ubisoft open world games all started feeling the same over a decade ago.
I'm all for diversity but I'm not giving Ubisoft another dime. Only got a used copy of Far Cry 4 recently to test repaired Xbones. It was the cheapest game at Game Stop lol.
@feloneouscat

Apparently 4th time's the charm, lol. The last PS4 I gave the neighbor must have had a faulty PSU. It would lose power after 12-24 hours, forcing him to unplug and replug it. So I bought another broken one off eBay. Deep cleaned, swapped the HDMI port. Then I spent 3 days playing through No Man's Sky's Aquarius expedition on it, had no issuesπŸ˜€ So today, finally, my brain can be content in the knowledge I have given him a good working console that should last a couple years at least.

^^^^ Still a couple days left to get this Godot 4 course bundle from Humble. I just finished Course 3 which was "Create a 2d Platformer" and I'm actually having fun? Course.. I did take over a WoW addon back in '08 and learned some Lua for fun, so maybe I'm just weird that way. Anyway yeah, what I learned today I could drop a Mario Clone on Steam in like a week 😜

So I bought the Humble Godot Game Engine 4.0 Course Bundle the other day for $30. Zenva Academy charges $1500. Just finished the Intro course (61 lessons) and got my Certificate for it. Only 29 to go πŸ˜† $1 a course is feeling like a pretty good deal. Link below for anyone interested. Now I just need to figure out how to make the next Vampire Survivors 🀣

@Bix Yeah, and considering that the company that sells the figures does not make them with or sell Nazi insignia which are clearly seen on the ones dude owns/owned means he made them himself or got them from someone that made them.

Took a rare trip away from the homestead and got the latest COVID vax/Flu vax combo yesterday, because I am not a complete dumbass. Plus my parents are both 70+ and I do tend to drop in on them during the holidays as they are not stupid and have resisted the brain smoothing. Also trying to keep my streak of not catching COVID going. Dude jabbing me was impressed, lol. Arm sore this morn, not the best night's sleep but eh, worth it.

@Museek One of my oldest and favorite adages has always been "Stupid should hurt." And it does, though observing/dealing with it hurts me more than it hurts them most of the time, it seems.

Hauntii (Multi, XPd on via )
A pretty twin stick shoot/puzz/platformer. Play as a ghost in the afterlife, searching for your past and trying to ascend.

This is a cool take on a twin stick. You can possess things and solve environmental puzzles, or possess demons and use their abilities to battle/explore. Neat "hand drawn" art style. Great music. I hadn't heard of it before it hit GP, very glad I played it. Do recommend. πŸ‘ πŸ‘ hauntii.com/

Figment (XPd on via ) Dusty, embodiment of Courage in the mind of a man in a coma, must vanquish fears and wake up the mind.

Short (6 hours) puzzle platformer with surprising wit and humor as it deals with mental trauma. Nothing special in the gameplay dept, but it stands out in the atmosphere. Lots of bright colors. Bosses that taunt you with musical numbers. Bad puns. Fart clouds. It was a nice bit of silly that helped my own mental state a little πŸ‘

@Razdawg22 I'm a Linux guy so, these days it's all AMD as they offer the best support for Linux distros. Plus Intel having issues with their CPUs lately, tho neither of the ones in the Beelink are part of that (.. probably). In the case of gaming on a iGPU I would go with AMD every time. There's a reason they in all the game consoles and the Steam Deck, heh. In my experience it's much less headache to get AMD stuff to perform well.

@Razdawg22 Seen a lot of good reviews of Beelink MiniPCs. For around that price point you get a choice of either Intel Alder Lake N200, Coreβ„’ 1220P, or AMD's 6600H. All of those can "handle" current AAA gaming 1080p Low Settings and *most* stuff is 30fps+. So they should run most anything else pretty well.
