Went to a production of the classic Romeo and Juliet last evening at CalShakes. Perfect weather. Staging was beautifully done. Actors were superb as always at CalShakes. This production was in Spanish/English and re-titled Romeo y Juliet. By the end of the evening, I felt like I understood Spanish! The interleaving of the two languages was amazing. Then, when Romeo and Juliet were both women and made me believe Will S would have loved it. Brava!

I am still numb about the R v W draft. I won’t tell you how old I am, but I remember when women used coat hangers to terminate a pregnancy they could not afford. These were not strangers, but people I knew. Desperate women and we all rejoiced together when the R v W decision was announced. I thought: at last I am my own person, in control of my life. I weep for all the young women today. This will pass and I will be ready to fight again soon.

Heartsick over the news from SCOTUS. I have long been a pro-choice woman. And, too see this happen - will take a few days for me to find my way out of this funk. And, move into action. But not tonight. Going to bed. We will all need to be rested and ready to fight.

We usually have a big crowd for Thanksgiving but that is not possible in 2020. So Zoom dinner with family and friends made due. And, you know what? Not so bad. Not as good as face to face, but because we all love each other, this was fine. And next year we will be back to normal. Love you all and hope you had a day of thanksgiving to remember.
We are all healthy and none of us are out of work. We are blessed. And for that, I am forever grateful. Hope you are too.
