@mrk This is has haunted me since Ronald Reagan arrived on the scene as Gov of CA. All around me, folks who thought he was so brilliant and inspiring.
It has been down hill since. At this point, only the willing blind, deaf and dumb could like any of these bad actors in Congress. It is beyond my comprehension.

Just a quiet reminder: After 3 years of vigilance against COVID-19, I was caught flat-footed about 10 days ago while visiting a friend undergoing cancer treatment. I thought what could be safer than two old friends who never go anywhere getting together? Bah! We are both on the other side of the illness now. And, thank science - fully vaccinated and antiviral drugs to the rescue.

I finally did it! Elon told me I had to pay $8 a month to keep my Twit account with 2FA. He can take that idea and shove it. I stopped going there some time ago, but that was really the very last straw. I have pay him to keep my account safe???!!!

I think everyone in USA needs to scan their households for "classified" documents. I am sure we are all guilty of hiding something! No, not hiding, something comes thru the door, we lay it down and forget about it. That is yesterday's news. Then a knock on the door and investigators find I have been hoarding state secrets. How does this happen!?

I saw that blog earlier this evening. I will not be asking for my subscription back! IconFactory has a tough road ahead. And, a sad sigh from me as well.

So, my main link to Twit madness was a great app Twitterrific. No ads, always kept just the people I was following in my feed. First it could no longer access Twitter on iOS, but that’s okay. Still worked on Mac. Until this morning. No longer authorized!
But all that being said, I come here for the most part and that is fine. I was using Twitterrific to follow those folks who are not on this platform and that I really miss. I WILL NOT use the twitter app itself - deranged, I am not.

All of her books are "NEVER put this down" for me. The Curiosity tome, for me, was beautifully written (love the interior discussions that make the characters all too human), but the final outcome seemed a bit contrived to me: too many little things having to fit just perfectly. But I still enjoyed the book. Could just be me. But this is not one of her best.
But that will never keep me from reading and re-reading, the trials of Inspector Gamache!

A more forceful response would be for them to start a recall of Mr Santos. I am a Californian and recalls are our state's buyer's remorse solution! Guessing NY does not have that available to them.
I do not hold out much hope for the resignation to actually happen.
