Perhaps the most annoying aftermath of war related psychological trauma is an inability to become completely immersed in sex like before. Always there’s a nagging little sensation somewhere in the back of my mind that at any moment, any second there might come an alarm, when suddenly all life, everyone you know and care about will be in mortal danger again.

I used to binge watch documentaries on serial killers to put my mind at ease and recover from the trauma caused by the horrors of the war. I’ve heard others do it too, they said it was the only way to relax 😑
