I used to binge watch documentaries on serial killers to put my mind at ease and recover from the trauma caused by the horrors of the war. I’ve heard others do it too, they said it was the only way to relax πŸ˜‘

Read something once that said people like thrill rides, like rollercoasters, because they flood their brains with dopamine (or whatever) by the experience of surviving (a near death) experience. I think that may be part of it and another part of it, is a weird way to hone sensitivity to danger, especially with people you know and know could be/or are dangerous. Looking for signs.

I watch lots of crime shows. I worked in a similar field for years and come from a violent family, both sides. My uncle stabbed my dad to death on our porch. It made the news. 1979 Burbank Ca. Everyone knew he was deadly. But to whom. That was the key.
