My husband was given a Trump dollar with some change, so we modified it instead of setting it on fire.
J.J. visited his best buds today at the vet's office. We're waiting for the results on his final heartworm check.
Many of the dogs seized with J.J. had heartworms. Treatment takes months and can require injections and crating. Take this as a friendly reminder to give your dogs heartworm preventatives!

A good sign, brought to us from the American Library Association. While 2023 resulted in a record number of book challenges, 2024 is showing a decline. Book bans have faced a lot of push-back. They've been challenged in the courts, and people have been running for seats on school and library boards to replace book banners. Looks like these efforts have born fruit. Let's hope this trend continues!

Dr. Sian Proctor was on the call last night and she said something I loved. She talked about a poem she wrote that called for creating a JEDI space: Just, Equitable, Diverse, Inclusive. She said it was a Star Wars acronym with a Star Trek meaning, and my nerd heart grew three sizes.
The Geeks & Nerds for Harris call (which was a lot of fun) ran long last night, so of course I'm slow as molasses this morning.
