@LianaBrooks Our college kiddos are exempt from the "formal" chores roster as long as they have a job when home, though they are still expected to help out when possible. But that's because they are expected to help defray the cost of their room & board during the school year.
If they are doing school from home full-time, that's a different situation. My advice would be to have a sit-down with them and discuss what ways they can contribute, and what would be most helpful to the family.

@phase2 @HackingDave I haven't gotten as far as monitoring calorie intake, so you're definitely ahead of me there. One thing I noticed that helped me, was looking for low/no-sugar varieties of items. I was honestly shocked at how many workout products had 20-30% of recommended daily sugar added to them!
Stuff like no-sugar added Greek Yogurt (I'm partial to the Chobani berry flavor) also helped when I tried moving to smaller meal portions with more protein heavy snacks.

@phase2 If @HackingDave still checks in every now and then, he implemented a workout/dietary regimen not long ago with amazing results, though I believe it's focused primarily towards males.

I'm the farthest thing from an expert, and stick to trying to increase protein intake and reduce carbs when increasing my exercise tempo. That's generally with the goal of cutting weight, though, so YMMV depending on what your goals are. You got this!

@ThrasherPrime Yeah. Whoever was responsible for the halftime adjustments shouldn't be allowed in the facility on Monday. Hopefully they'll take it as a wake up call, 'cause if they thought today was bad - Detroit will hang a 50-burger on 'em before they can blink.

@Sr0bi Yep. Media conglomerates have no interest in providing unbiased "news" coverage. Like most other corporations in America, they're only concerned with how much advertising $$ their "news" shows will add to annual revenues, so the shareholders will continue to rubberstamp whatever the board wants them to. The days of a company or corporate entity weighing what's best for the community with what's best for business are long gone, and will likely never return. Trump is a reflection of that.

@thewebrecluse Gotcha. For me, I tend towards exploration, crafting, and completionist type play-throughs. For example, I was I think level 6 before I even made it to New Atlantis. I'm pretty sure I'm still on the very beginning quests (Sarah is still my companion and I haven't finished either of the chains her "friend" gave out), and I hit level 20 earlier today.

As my wife says, I've never met a side quest I didn't love, or a crafting recipe I didn't want to try! 😜

@Avalea Nope; houses on our side back onto a street w/sidewalks that are 2-3 feet lower than the backyards. And the previous incarnation of the HOA put in 6-foot wood fences at the property line. If someone had a patio light/camera they still would have had trouble seeing over the fence - which is likely why the majority of targets were 2nd floor windows. :(

First day of school... so of course, there was a group of (likely) tweens/teenagers running around last night causing mischief. Our house and 10+ others had rocks thrown through windows at around 11:30pm. 🤬

Probably a good thing my mattock handle and I didn't find them while driving up & down the street, but I dang sure wish I could be a fly on the wall when the Karma bus catches up with them for payback!

After a diagnostic and new motor run capacitor, the cool air is once again flowing. Probably time to start planning for a replacement though, since the system's over 20 years old. :D

Ugh. Did NOT want to spend the weekend dealing with the home warranty company, plus reaching out to additional AC repair folks since the "identified provider" hasn't responded yet. And this is the second provider... first one said they couldn't make it out for an emergency repair until after Labor Day. 😠
