@JPSCHWEIZER63 Wife’s rheumatologist got her on Paxlovid immediately. I’ve got to wait until tomorrow to find out for me, but looks like lil one is too young. Bright side, we’re together, lil one still has good energy. Lots of hot showers with Vicks steamer tablets and TheraFlu seems to be keeping congestion at bay. We’re all current on vax/boosters (except the new one that just got approved), so hopefully it’ll be mild. 🤞

Welp, it took over 3 years, but COVID finally snuck in. Started with youngest kiddo & wife on Thursday, and I came up hot this morning. That’s all 3 of us high risk folks.

Fortunately older kiddos are still testing negative, while we quarantine in our little corner of the house.

@ecksmc same reason they’d use Google docs/sheets instead of M365, I imagine - perceived cost savings. Gonna hafta read more on what happened though, since I don’t use Google Authenticator.

I do know from recently doing my annual refresh/clean install that if you have MFA enabled and log into your Google account from an unrecognized machine that it immediately alerts you on that account and any other you had listed in the security/recovery settings.

@TrueBloodNet The missing piece there is "electromagnetic radiation." My presumption is, it's likely related to wireless frequency emissions, and the software fix could be to simply reduce antenna power.

WTAF!! Just another clear indication they have no freakin' clue about military culture and the importance of available benefits (they weren't even aware of the stats until Politico told them, which is another conversation / issue to address altogether.)

@b4cks4w Sure, they’re from USAA. We’ve never had issues with them, which definitely soothes a bit since they definitely weren’t the cheapest homeowners option when we bought. But after hearing some of the troubles friends/family have had with Geico, State Farm, etc, made it an easy choice.

Update: Insurance adjuster was a dream to work with. They only asked for two quotes, and when we said we preferred the slightly more expensive option but would be happy to pay the difference, they agreed and paid out the claim within the hour!

Add this to the list of things that (probably only) annoy me -
Got a message the referrals my primary care provider put in are approved and to call the appointment line to get them scheduled.
So I clear some time and call, cheerful young lady quickly finds the referrals, and proceeds to give me phone numbers for each entity so they could schedule me.
Umm... so why is this the "appointment line?" If you're only providing the number, do it through the patient messaging portal! 🤔

Snark aside and off the top of my head, the Scandinavian region and New Zealand are becoming more enticing by the day. Ireland to an extent, but that's because of ancestry/personal feelings more than anything else.
