@jordicusmaximus

That particular other group wore their armbands on the left arm.

University of Washington protest.

I wonder why they chose the same shade of green for their armbands as the Hamas flag.

And why they felt the need for armbands in the first place.

@Boyceaz

Every projectile can be dangerous or deadly if misused.

@mikeflstfi Check your local laws before ordering. They aren't legal for civilian use in some states.

You might be reading/seeing about LAPD usage of less-lethal ammo while they broke up the UCLA encampment.

They are NOT "rubber bullets".

LAPD use 12ga bean-bag rounds that have a max range of about 50ft and are visible in flight. The "beans" are plastic pellets in a kevlar sock.

Those can still be lethal if they hit in the wrong spot. But so can a thrown baseball, D-cell battery, or police baton/billy-club

AFAIK no major US police force still uses the old style rubber or wooden bullets.

@AnnetteTRemain

Looks like paint. And the ball bearings perhaps some kind of Home Alone stunt?

It's a really simple question.

Really simple.

@AkomoCombine

The attempted shield wall?

Their professional organizers learned it from the neo-nazis during the BLM protests.

The neo-nazis got it from the Vikings tv show. (yes, really)

It never quite works out the way it does on TV though, for either side.

@Novels56

You probably should, it protects the wheel bearing assembly and hub. (hubcap)

If those are damaged it will cost a lot more.

@Novels56

In that particular case it usually means that one or more of the spring loaded retaining clips has decided that it no longer wanted to be a spring, or retain anything any longer. It has retired.

The good news is that those hubcaps are still available fairly cheaply online and from junkyards. Or more expensively from a GM dealer.

@AnneW @thedisasterautist @AkomoCombine

I'm just going to point out that Boomers (of all races, creeds, and colors) gave us (humanity) some of the greatest music, movies, and sports entertainment ever made.

And then I'm going to mute this thread. Cuz it's making my head hurt.

Portland protest for Hamas not going as planned (by the professional organizers).

@AnneW Aye, that one hasn't shown up on my radar either.

UPenn asked the Philadelphia Police Department for immediate help to disband the anti-Israel Encampment, however Philadelphia Police dept. declined, asking that the University provide proof that the encampment presents an imminent danger.

Penn Public Safety recently issued its fourth UPenn Alert. The anti-Israel encampment at UPENN started eight days ago.

@EileenKCarpenter @stueytheround

I have yet to see any of the SJP/WoL protesters, or the pro commie organizers names or pics show up.

Pretty sure they all bailed when they heard that NYPD was setting up roadblocks at intersections around the school.

Of the 282 protesters arrested at Columbia University and City College, 134 of them were not affiliated with either school.
