@Dane Ah, yes, of course.
@Dane Hmm?
@thedisasterautist It's true enough that Black voters in NY argue he was always like this and that his acting just got less effective.
@walterbays @VelvetDuchess @Render It would only be a credible dodge if Putin had a reason to connive in his disappearance. I'm not seeing one.
@LiberalLibrarian What about a poin-ted stick?
@stealthbadger He's so far gone I think he really believed he would be seen as heroically fighting for a coup almost everyone would back.
@stealthbadger And of course his subsequent claim of "I didn't mean it, I just said that for legal purposes" did not endear him to the judge - who, not surprisingly, didn't hold that "I said I did it but I actually didn't" statement to excuse him from all liability - as he apparently thought it would.
@Sleep_Is_For_Chumps God knows. I've seen reports that he shifts between residences like a terrorist leader or a mob boss.
@piquant00 Pretty nearly, by implication... but they might still be using the dodge of "evil counselors" to avoid going after Putin directly.
Much like Pence planning to say at the debate that Jan 6 was all Meadows's fault while poor TFG was just misled.
@LiberalLibrarian We got some cold pizza from a party at my sister's workplace... have to work that in.
I do have some nice whiting fillets, though.
@LiberalLibrarian Aw, gee, I'm all broken up, y'know?
Now what should I make for dinner?
@LiberalLibrarian That actually seems about right. Less than it would be if this country weren't 40+% mad, but wider than 2020 (which was pre-Jan 6, pre-indictments).
Center-left academic type. Generally pissed about the state of the world but I know none of our endless crises are actually new because I'm a historian.
