@publickovacs I suppose the most important piece of advice I can give you for working through the grief is to be patient with yourself. It will hit you at the most random times. You'll smell something that'll remind you of him or you see something that looks like something you saw with him. Embrace those moments, be gentle with yourself and let those emotions pour out. It's hard but it does get easier as you heal and adapt.

@publickovacs To share with you on this, I lost my mother in 2004 to a pulmonary embolism. It was quite sudden she didn't feel any pain but she was young, she was only 52 years old. Every August I sit down with that grief and I listen to the world around me and I talk to her. She may not walk with me still but I can feel her presence whenever I talk to her. I don't get exact answers but I can feel when she's there when she approves and when she doesn't. I guess you could say she's my guide now.

@publickovacs Grieving a parent is something that never really goes away, It gets smaller, easier to manage but it never really disappears. We learn to adapt to accommodate for that grief and patience is key to that.

@publickovacs It's okay to miss him. I'm sure he misses you too. Just because he doesn't walk next to you or have a phone number to be called, doesn't mean he's not with you. When you find some time to yourself, whether it's in your room before you're heading to bed or while you're cooking a meal for yourself, talk to him like he's really there. I find that helps a lot with working through the grief and healing those old hurts.

The reversed emperor indicates lack of protection, stability and possibly an absence of a father figure. One side is protective decisive and truly stable. However, with the sitting in reverse, it's indicating the opposite. This card is literal points to paternal relationships in your life. With it sitting in reverse, it's a good time to reach out to your father figure. This indicates reconnecting to a point of view that stands strong and tall and knows just what to do. Listen to your instincts.
