My daughter works about 23 miles from here. They're power is out, so they had to tell all the customers to go home. They can't run the cash registers or open the safe without electricity. It's windy and really pouring over there. We have rain, and that's about it. We'll see how it goes, though.

I'll have to see if I can find one here. I haven't seen any since we moved to the area, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. If not, maybe I can order a starter from Etsy or some other place online.

That's why I think it's so important I tell my story, even if I don't get it published until I'm 90. I want people to know what it was like inside the Evangelical movement from someone who was there for almost 50 years. I saw things a lot of other people don't even notice because I was part of the music ministry. I didn't just go for the service and then leave until the next week. I was there every damn time the doors opened.

I'm growing mine out as well, and I absolutely hate it, but I really want my daughter to do an ombre color job, and it doesn't work well with short hair.

If I can make it through the summer I'll be fine, because by then it will be long enough to put up in a ponytail. Right now it's just annoying.

I do believe we're about to get our asses kicked. We've already moved everything that can fly out of the way so it doesn't.

You didn't hear what I said. I have no dog in this fight, and I will stick by that until I die. These people have been fighting for 4,000 years. Nobody is going to solve it today or even in the next year or two or 20 unless the parties involved can agree on terms, and they haven't been able to do it so far. Palestinians say it's theirs. Jews say God gave it to them. Neither one is willing to yield. This is just how things are.

As a nurse, I had to learn metric measurements. I'm pretty good at switching between the two systems. However, I know a lot of people who struggle with the difference. Why can't we all just use the same system?
