My Daughter and her Hubby with their friends at Strickler’s Monster Farm. It was a really fun experience while it lasted. They did four Octobers there I think. You could do the kiddie scare or the full boat scare experience. Lol…so many people came busting out of there through the corn screaming their heads off. It was really scary!!

From Good Day Sacramento Channel 31.

Thinking of Stepdad, today is his bday. He was every bit my father as my biodad and more important to who I am as he raised me.

He was a RWer who had voted for Kennedy. A hard ass GOPer that donated $$$s every month to a wide variety of charities.

He was an Atheist that taught me skepticism. He made my politics what they are…the opposite. 😀

I learned so much from him. Seems impossible he’s been gone years. He was Dad and I loved him with his politics or without them.

My dog was freaking out and it took me awhile to figure out her problem…she’s scared of the wind. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is still a bad ass war machine. I heard they’re going to extend its service a few years.

With the war in Israel my hubby is flashing back to his time in that area on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower. He did 3 Med Tours ‘80-84 during Libya and the aftermath of the Beirut Marine barracks bombing.

Trying to keep focused on things like the carrier group and how different the Ford is from the Ike.

#1 CVN-69 Eisenhower
#2 CVN-78 Ford

Been sitting on the couch for two days trying to get as much family genealogy traced and saved as possible so I can drop my subscription to My Heritage.

Found some cool stuff! Gilling Castle is my maternal Gdad’s ancestral home…errr…castle.
😳😱🤭😎

People are really shitty sometimes. Crap like this is a constant problem in rural areas. WHY do assholes in suburbia bring their garbage to the country to dump on the side of the road? You see everything you can think of dumped!! RVs, furniture, household garbage, tires…it’s despicable. 🤬🤬🤬

These are two different streets, different years but a common sight out here. 🖕🏻

It’s a great drive up to Auburn and the CHAPA de Indian Health Center offices and staff are fantastic! Beautiful grounds, though I miss the peacocks they used to have. The statue is so good and the grounds keeper does an awesome job!

I always enjoy going to my dentist or md appts. Got my RSV yesterday and Covid/flu scheduled for Tuesday. 👏🏻

But it’s the drive up and back that makes my day. 25 miles through the beginning of the foothills on a lovely two lane rural road. It soothes my soul, makes me smile and sing out loud. Not even the Trump flags can ruin my joy. 😁

Springtime 2024 planning has begun. Need to find a way I like to redo the herb garden set up. 🌿

I’ve been seeing some great costume and cool spooky food ideas for Halloween.

Love this one! I hope they won a prize for this. 😍🤩
