Good night groovy souls! Predictably I've stayed up to late again ^_^

Blessed Rosh Hashanah to all who celebrate!

May peace reign in the New Year!

Thank you all for being so receptive to this question and for understanding that I meant nothing by it. Ya'll are rad!

I know Coso is a safe place, but I have very large hindpaws and don't want to hop on toes.

I swear I'm not trying to be offensive here, but I am trying to understand.

Ok... Beyond signaling a tribal affiliation with party, what do things like Campaign hats and stickers accomplish? What do people hope accomplish by wearing them?

I've got bumper stickers and stuff just to tell the world a little bit what I like, or like with the 7 pointed star send a signal to other otherkin. We're a small community so I figure, fly a flag and find an ally.

Is it like that?

I've got a question rambling around in my brain that feels rude, but I want to ask it...

???

However, it has been a continual worry of my parents, so much so that my Dad insisted I take an uber instead of jogging down to my gym when it was about a mile from here.

I guess 5 minutes of exposure to a stranger is nominally better than 15 minutes out overland?

The thing is, this is probably over cautious. I've never had to much problem except being yelled at in a bathroom a couple times, but there is a more sinister tilt to the world than there was before for me, here.

Odd.

So I messed up my schedule and so I wasn't able to get to the gym today.

My parents need their car often in the mornings so if I don't get out by a certain time, it prevents me from going.

I could run outside. I'm equipped to, but I don't exactly feel safe being out to much here with the way thigns are in the US right now.

That struck me as.a surprise. I know Lubbock has hostile people to trans folks, but it's never prevented me from getting out there before.

Holy Gods this hits hard.

Me:

Most of my content I curate and I avoid ads like the plague. Advertising truly bugs me deep down.

Visiting my parents, they always have the TV on, and so... LOTS OF COMMERCIALS!

I'm approaching it with curiosity as best I can. I was just watching a DQ commercial.

We live in an interesting time. There is still a lot of food insecurity in the world, but we have whole industries dedicated not just to providing food, but unique, cheap food pleasure.

It's just a wild world out there.
