@MLClark

After the disastorus Bay of Pigs invasion, Kennedy lost alot of faith in his military advisors, which is one of the reasons he mulled an invasion of Cuba during the cuban missile crisis, electing instead for a blockade.

During the crisis he was reading a famous history of WW1 called "The Guns of August" he famously said he wanted to ensure there was never a book written called "The Guns of October"

@MLClark @duglop The earliest refrences to the God El, come from the City state of Ugarit, and the Ugaritic pantheon.

@MLClark @duglop In Genesis, 14: 18-20, you will find the earliest reference to one of the Bibles most mysterious characters, the Priest King of Salem, Melchizedek.

In the Hebrew, Melchizedek is referenced as a priest king of the Most High God, from which, Abraham gives the first tithe.

The term to refer to God in this vs, Elelyon, means God the most high and has use across the faiths of Canaan, meaning that he may have been a "Pagan" Priest.

@duglop Those who have a degree in history, will always make sure to tell you about it.

I say this as someone with a degree in history... and theology.

So many people. I got overloaded anxiety spike hit me hard. Breathed through it focused on my mindful practice. “This is where I am. It’s an anomalous feedback loop. I’m ok. “. Got home and am decompressing.

All emotional experience and anxiety are like weather systems. They come as they wish, they have their time and pass. I remain as they come and go.

I’m ok!

@C_H_Antony life is the journey. We’re all wandering forward together here in coso.

@LnzyHou exactly! I hold no bitterness in my soul. I go as a representative of my way and come in peace seeking no conflict.

Good morning Groovy souls! I am soon to attend church with my parents.

Should be interesting. I've been to Presbyteryian services before, they're kind slow and stiff, but it'll be alright.

I'll let yall know if I burst into flames when I walk in. :P

Onward, toward the dawn!

I'm heading to bed. Good night groovy souls!

You are a source of joy in my life! Thank you for shining.

Onward, toward the dawn!

I woke up for the first time in Virginia.

@kendonnelly I know the name changed when the family section I'm descended from arrived in Northumbria... It anglicized to Mickley from Michelet

@wolfwoman You human folk never fail to impress me with your kindness. ^_^ This is beautiful.

@kendonnelly I figured. ^_^ On my Dad's side of the family they were exiled Huguenots. In 1731 two brothers who were the descendants of those exiles that had settled in England made their way to Philadelphia.
